*sigh*

Mommy wishes she could be this flexible again...

"apu!"

Somebody really likes the pumpkin display they have at school... No
matter how much I try to get him to say "pumpkin", tho, it always ends
up as "apu.". I'm not sure if he just has trouble trying to say
"pumpkin" (or "pun-kin") or if he honestly thinks those big orange
things are just funny-looking apples...

What a wookie

Danny doesn't care for the headpiece of his costume too much... It
generally stays on for only a few seconds... This is the best full-
costume shot I have so far... Will try again tomorrow!

Brushing Raven

And she liked it!

One way to enjoy popsicles...

Taken the other night, while my toofies were hurting and dinner was
taking too long to bake. Mommy didn't want to spoil my dinner, so I
had to try to get them open on my own...

Danny's current sizes

Danny's latest measurements: as of Sept 29th
33 in long, 26 1/2 lb.
Current sizes: (as in right this moment, but will probably be a size larger by Christmas! )
18 mo bottoms
18mo - 4T tops
size 6 shoes

Several of you have asked, in a roundabout sort of way, what size clothes Danny is into. Well, I have gotten enough queries from enough places that I decided to make it a blog post instead of writing to everyone separately and risking telling people different things...

Danny is currently wearing size 18month in pants, but anywhere from 18 mo to 4T in short-sleeve shirts. (Most of his length seems to be in his torso at the moment...) Shirt sizes seem to vary the most from brand to brand. Danny's generally wearing 18mo - 2T in a T-shirt, but some 3T/4T shirts either fit decently or are cutely over-sized without swamping him.

(For those who don't know, 24mo is about the same as 2T. 2T is ever so slightly larger than 24 mo, but I think the difference is negligible... I think 4T is about the same as a child's XS.)

If shopping for Christmas: If it's a holiday themed outfit, I'd go with 24mo, no larger than 2T, unless you think looks like it's on the small side. If it's winter clothes, pants, sweaters, etc. I'd say get 24 month or 2T in pants and 24mo-3T for a shirt. For t-shirts, I would go with 4T, so he can wear them into the summer. For slippers, I'd shop for a 6 1/2.

I generally avoid onesies (one-piece outfits that go on like a shirt, but snap under the bottom) now because his torso is so long. It's frustrating/annoying to me when the top part still fits fine, but the bottom will no longer snap shut without giving the boy a major wedgie...

I think I have determined that specific logo-wear (Colts, Cubs, Bears, Rose-Hulman, ND, etc.) tends to run small. For example, Danny has a Cubs shirt that is 4T but seems to fit well right now. If shopping for team/college-branded clothing, I think I would shop no smaller than a 4T....

Remember, when in doubt, it's better to go too big than too small!
Please let me know if you have any questions on this. I'll post answers to questions in the comments of this post...

Love, Kathy
