Just a little drink...
Hold up a sec, Ma, I wanna drink a' water.
(Mom's note: he doesn't understand the concept of a drinking fountain
yet, he just want to play with the water... That and we apparently
can't walk all the way to his classroom without stopping to inspect
something every 3 feet... :-) )

I'm gonna get you little fishie!
I wasn't feeling well this morning, so Mommy said that I had to go see
Dr. Jim. I'm not sure I like Dr. Jim, but I do like his fishies!

Oh, and Dr. Jim says it's just an ordinary cold- I'm glad it's not
another ear infection!

Heating pad
Mommy's heating pad is neat! I wonder why she only sits on it - it's
so much more fun to drag around like this!

Toad 1992 - 2009

Toad: Faithful friend and loving companion.
October, 1992 - April 23, 2009
So much more than "just" a cat.
Now, I'm too young to really know what's going on, but sometime after I went to bed on April 23, Mommy says that Toad went to a place called heaven. She says there are lots of catnip mousies there and that Toad's diabetes no longer makes his legs hurt. And now that his legs don't hurt him anymore he can jump as high as the sky.
Daddy and I have been working very hard to try to cheer Mommy up. I know Mommy misses Ki a lot, so I have to be extra cute. :-)
Ki was a very nice kitty. When I was really little, he would lick my head - Mommy says that was his way of trying to give me a bath! When I got bigger, Ki would walk around on the floor with me and let me pet him. He even let me hold his tail sometimes, but once I pulled too hard and he scratched me! But it was only a tiny scratch.
The neatest thing was that sometimes Ki would bring me one of his catnip mousies. Mommy says it was very nice of Toad to share his favorite toys with me. I don't think they taste very good, but he seemed to really like them. Sometimes I would find one of his mousies and take it to him - I think he liked that.
We have another kitty named Raven, but she doesn't come and play with me like Toad used to. Every now and again, Raven lets me pet her, if I'm careful. And just this morning, she walked over to me and let me give her a catnip mousie. Mommy saw this and smiled. She knows that I may not remember Ki when I'm older, but at least he taught me a thing or two before he left.
Mommy says that writing this was really hard. She says she's glad that I helped tell her what to type. Maybe soon she'll be able to get back on track and get back to posting more pictures of me. In the meantime, I'll work on being extra cute so she can't help but want to blog about me!
Love, Danny
